TextExpander, for most of its life, was an app you paid for up front, per version. Rather than constantly typing out frequently used phrases, TextExpander allows you to do it quickly and without typos. It takes the clipboard (a URL in this case), converts it into a Markdown link, and places the cursor in the title brackets.
